Romania’s new honorary consul – Viorel Raducanescu, based in Liverpool

Viorel Raducanescu is now an honorary consul, based in Liverpool. We are fortunate to have him as part of our community and we hope that his input will greatly benefit the diaspora. The ceremony was at Livepool town hall and, for a day, the flag of Romania flew over Liverpool.

An honorary consul is a voluntary position, so we are grateful that Viorel stood up to help the diaspora. Focusing on trade and culture, it’s a boost for the community and an essential link between the official consulates in London and Edinburgh.
