Refurbishment of St John’s College Auditorium to provide accessibility features, general refurbishment, and alter the architecture to improve its acoustics. On site next year.
The current built design doesn’t allow for discrete interventions to ensure easy access for disabled users, therefore extensive works will be needed and a re-organising of the auditorium’s layout.
The existing space has very poor acoustics and lighting. We collaborated with consultants and developed architectural solution to greatly improve the space’s performance.
Images and content on this page were produced during my year in practice, prior to starting an MArch course, whilst working as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant at Berman Guedes Stretton Architects.
